GCSE results day has been a moment of celebration for The Birley Academy in Sheffield, with students and staff recognising the hard work and commitment shown throughout the academic year.
The Birley Academy – part of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust – is delighted to celebrate the achievements of its students. The whole school community is proud of every pupil as they prepare to take their next steps.
While all students have shown dedication and commitment to their studies, a number have achieved particularly noteworthy results, including:
- Noah Bell, who achieved six grade 9’s in biology, chemistry, physics, maths, history and geography, alongside grade 8’s in English language and literature, and a Grade 7 in French.
- Callum Payling, who achieved grade 9’s in combined science, maths and geography and a Level 2 Distinction in Creative iMedia.
- Rosie Ashall, who achieved a grade 9 in English literature, Grade 8’s in English language and history, and Grade 7’s in food studies and religious studies.
- John Glossop, who achieved Grade 9’s in geography and history; and Grade 8’s in biology, chemistry, English language, English literature and maths; and a grade 7 in physics.
- Lucy Gregory, who achieved a Level 2 Distinction* in Sports Studies; Grade 8’s in English literature, maths, physics, French, history and biology; Grade 7’s in chemistry and English language.
Victoria Hall, Headteacher at The Birley Academy, said:

These achievements reflect not only the hard work our young people have put into their studies, but also the support of our dedicated staff and families throughout their journey. Whether students are continuing into sixth form or college, starting an apprenticeship or entering employment, we know they have bright futures ahead of them.
